Stony Point Center and the Community of Living Traditions depend upon the generosity of friends, families and other supportive organizations to do our work. Your partnership and support will go a long way toward helping us to honor SPC's history as a place of encounter, building relationships and taking action together to live out God's deepest desire for all of God's people and creation.

Scholarship Fund

confrmabMuch of the focus at Stony Point Center is to develop new, creative programming. Building a scholarship fund would allow students, clergy, community organizers and others with limited means an opportunity to attend our programs. Your support would allow them to gain knowledge, share experiences and return home with ideas and improvements to their communities.

Friends of Stony Point Center

labyrinth 021

The Friends of Stony Point Center have a long history of helping with special projects on our campus. Your gift to the Friends allows you to make a donation to a group who pay attention to the unique opportunities and possibilities for supporting the Center. For instance, in recent years the friends have arranged for the donation of a pick-up truck and a car for airport shuttles; purchased a golf cart; helped with the purchase of over $7,000 in new communications technology; and helped us to purchase our own coffee maker for the dining room so that we can begin offering fair-traded Justcoffee in our dining room.
“Friends” members receive a discount at the Stony Point Gift Shop.

Margaret Flory Memorial Fund

06 oct 028

Margaret Flory was a true saint of Stony Point Center. Her vision for the use of the original gift of the home of the Gilmor sisters was in many ways responsible for bringing Stony Point Center into being. Her leadership in developing new church relationships and partnerships around the world was as remarkable as her grounding at Stony Point Center.
Though Margaret died in the fall of 2009, her spirit lives on in this opportunity to provide scholarships for SPC programs , support needed maintenance for the Gilmor Sloane House that Margaret loved so much, and continue to develop the Japanese Peace Garden that was born of Margaret’s vision.

Endowment Fund

presby foundationStony Point Center’s future is in large measure dependent on the financial investment made by those who have cared so much about our past, and who care so greatly about our commitment to build a multifaith community of nonviolence today.
If you would like to help us to secure that future, please consider a gift to our endowment, managed by the Presbyterian Church (USA) Foundation.

Cordee Hamilton Memorial Fund

4 cordeeCordee Hamilton served as our Transportation Coordinator for many years and was a dear friend to many current and former volunteers and staff members. She loved nature, folk art, music, drama and local history - a true Renaissance woman. We want her to be remembered long after those of us who knew her personally are no longer here. This fund will support Artists in Residence and other needs of the Arts Center currently under construction at Stony Point Center.
