We at SPC are dedicated to working to make our campus more accessible for folks with physical disabilities. The good news is that 90 percent of our buildings are single story and there are not a lot of hills. If you have any concerns, please feel free to leave a note with the Front Desk for the “Accessibility Team.”

Accessible Lodging

The Gilmor Sloane House has TWO fully accessible rooms.

Wheelchair Accessible Entrance Signsm

  • Private Bathroom

  • Roll in shower

  • Towels placed low for easy access

  • Lower hooks for hanging personal items

  • Ramp into the building

  • Common bathroom with wider door and that opens OUT for ease of exiting

Getting Around Campus

We can arrange to rent an electric mobility scooter with advance notice to use during your stay here on campus, though it is always a better bet to bring your own scooter if you are fully dependent on it. If you would like us to arrange the rental, notify the Guest Services Manager.

The main building is accessible from both the front and back entrances. We have disabled restrooms and ramps for your use. There are removable coat hangers available and they are marked “reserved” for the disabled.

Disabled parking spaces are available for your convenience near the main building.

Hearing Impaired Accommodations

We have a transmitter with four receivers that can be used in meetings you attend on campus. We will need to know ahead of time, so the transmitter can be set up in your meeting space.

Other Special Needs

We commit to special food preparation for persons with allergies. Our dining is buffet style, and staff and volunteers will be glad to assist if needed.

We are guide dog friendly. If you need assistance to find a space to “Park” your dog, please let us know.

We are dedicated to making your stay problem-free.  Please let us know, at the time your reservations are made, of any special needs you may have.

Enjoy your stay!
