A spiritual retreat in the heart of our campus

hermitage6Feeling frazzled? Looking for a quiet place to read, write, or reflect? Consider spending a few days at The Hermitage at Stony Point Center. This small, one-room, stone house offers a single bed, small refrigerator, microwave, writing table, rocking chair, and private garden area outside. There is no running water, but there is a water jug and old-fashioned china pitcher and basin for washing face and hands. No shower, but there is a composting toilet. A shower and flush toilet are available five minutes away if you prefer.

There are two options for how to handle your meals:

No meals provided – bring your own light snacks or simple meals (granola, yogurt, fruit, items that can be heated in a microwave, etc.) if you would like to be totally self-sufficient.

Or - Join other guests and our community for meals in our Evergreen dining room. You can purchase meal tickets at our front desk: $7 for breakfast, $10 for Lunch and $15 for Dinner.

hermitage bill 2"I enjoyed staying at the Hermitage during my pastoral sabbatical. It was a great place to read, pray, and compose jazz tunes. Kind of like a spiritual camp out, without the s'mores!"
