A creative retreat for songwriters and music-makers of all levels. Our 20th year of inspiring, exciting, motivating, even life-changing songwriting camps!

Join us July 22-28, 2018 for the 20th annual SummerSongs, and 20th Anniversary Celebration where we will again explore many aspects of songwriting, music, singing, and performance.

Founded by singer/songwriter/teacher/mentor Penny Nichols in 1999, SummerSongs offers a haven for creative inspiration and artistic growth. SummerSongs is a community, a retreat, and an experience for songwriters of ALL levels — whether you’ve written 100 songs, are looking to write your best song, or haven’t written one… yet! We continue to keep Penny’s vision of a “camp for grown-ups”  that allows each person’s artistry to shine.

Listen and learn from nationally-known touring artists; our teachers are handpicked for each camp, and they are among the very finest of songwriters and instructors. Workshops take place during the day, scheduled so that you have plenty of time to relax and play music, compose, or just listen to your new friends playing songs for each other.

In the evenings, we have concerts and song circles, coffeehouses, and jams that go late into the night. This is an exciting and inspiring opportunity to connect with your own creativity and with other folks like you from all corners of the globe and to study with some of the best songwriters in the world.

Our All-Star Anniversary Camp Teacher Line-Up:
