Have you ever noticed how the synergy of things can make you go in directions you were never expecting? We’re selling and silk-screening t-shirts! As you may know if you’ve been with us for a while, we’ve been working on getting an Arts Space up and running (and we’re almost there). Combined with that, we’re always looking for great ways to make connections with groups and individuals, as well as financially support the Community of Living Traditions, the intentional, multifaith community that resides here at Stony Point Center. All of that, combined with an opportunity to get some low-cost, fair-trade, organic cotton t-shirts and off we go!
The t-shirts come from a women’s sewing cooperative in Nicaragua formed by people who had been displaced by Hurricane Mitch. They are now the worker-owned sewing house, Zona Franca Masili. They offer a large variety of fair-trade, organic products.
We have a variety of white and neutral t-shirts in many sizes and marine blue t-shirts in some sizes. They are very soft and really comfortable. We have already silk-screened some to use at our Stony Point Meet Yourself Event and they were great.
We can offer blank t-shirts at a reasonable price (all t-shirts come with a “sweat-free” logo on one arm). We’re also open to silk-screening t-shirts for your group or leading a t-shirt creation activity while you’re here on campus in our new Arts Space. Interested in the possibilities? Contact us today!
