The Living Traditions Award was established in 2014 to honor the work of an individual or group that exemplifies the values of the Community of Living Traditions: justice, peacemaking, earth-consciousness and radical hospitality.

The 2019 Living Traditions Award will be presented to Pastor Cori Bush - mother, nurse, pastor, activist and innovator in the struggle for racial justice. Pastor Cori emerged as a community leader through her work on the front lines of the Ferguson Uprising in Missouri. Her groundbreaking electoral campaigns have inspired thousands to engage in the political process, and she was one of the four candidates featured in the award-winning documentary Knock Down The House
