Social Justice Summit: Come Together to Learn, Share, & Grow

We’re gathering across organizational, issue- & experience-based lines, to cross-pollinate, plant seeds, & grow roots with a community of leaders and doers working to make the world more just for everyone.

In a Nutshell:
- Register for a full day of inspiration, learning, small group sharing, resourcing, problem-solving, & networking*
- Trained facilitators will work with attendees split into levels of engagement (e.g. nonprofit leader vs first-time volunteer) for the best use of everyone’s time
- Designed to send you back with renewed energy to your community & the work ahead
- Planned for leaders, doers, and volunteers of all social justice groups interested in or intersecting with the social justice issues below
- Leave with new ideas, a broader network, awareness of more resources, and the inspiration you need to keep going – regardless of what the world throws at us next

We want to honor your efforts (and the resulting exhaustion) that the past few weeks and months have brought you: Walk our labyrinth, use the meditation space, explore the woods, read a book, or just take lots of naps! And/or participate in the additional activities offered for our 75th Anniversary Weekend!
*Note: this gathering, though a stand-alone experience, is bookended by events celebrating the 75th Anniversary of Stony Point Center.

1:30pm Social Justice Learning and Networking – divided by experience levels (leadership provided by Opening Doors Institute and Movement for Justice in El Barrio)
3:15pm Coordination and Networking Groups – divide by primary social justice foci
5-6pm Brief Closing Keynote to Wrap Up the Day with Words of Encouragement, Clarity & Strength. Time reserved for sharing. Send off with hope, tools & new connections.
7pm Optional Gala (Limited Seating. Registration required.)

Providing Keynote Address Highlighting the Challenges of These Times
Rev. McNeill is the NYS Labor-Religion Coalition Program Director. They are ordained in the United Church of Christ and have over a decade of experience organizing with community, faith, and labor organizations across New York State. They were named to City & State’s “Faith Power 100” list of New York’s most influential religious leaders. West holds an M.Div. from Union Theological Seminary in New York City, a B.A. in journalism from Ithaca College, and is a graduate of the Union Leadership Institute of the NYS AFL-CIO and Cornell.
