Nonprofit Partnerships

We are a national retreat center wholly owned by the Presbyterian Church (USA), an open and affirming denomination that works to be a voice for and with the oppressed, marginalized and silenced among us. We seek to lift up and work with all who want to make the world a better place for every living thing.

Along with our storied history comes a plethora of buildings – most of which are dedicated to our primary mission of nurturing a space of inclusion and acceptance so guest groups can confront and transform the brokenness of our shared physical and spiritual world….

A few of the buildings have been set aside to enable aligned non-profits do active social justice and/or bring cultural life into our community – both within Stony Point Center and throughout the world.

Please check out our on-site nonprofit partners both before coming to the center and consider scheduling a visit or performance with any aligned group for when you’re here.

During the season, generally June through October, enjoy a play in a charming, award-winning professional theatre right here on campus! The converted 1880s hay barn seats roughly 100 people, which makes for an intimate live theater experience.  Works originally presented by Penguin have moved to Off-Broadway to stages across the country and around the world.

PROYECTO FARO

“Faro” is an immigrant-led grassroots organization allied with immigrant and non-immigrant religious and secular communities and organizations to build support for and action among those in Rockland County who feel insecure due to their immigration status. They strive to create solidarity across boundaries that separate us.

If part of what you group is doing involves community service, you could see if there are any volunteer opportunities while you’re here by contacting them directly.

FELLOWSHIP OF RECONCILIATION

If your group is involved in peace-making, you would do well to reach out to FOR. Fellowship of Reconciliation is a global movement founded in 1914 to support the rights of conscience in resistance to war and military conscription.
