Max Capacity: 5 (or 8 if queen beds are shared)
Across from the Art Space on the second floor of Stone House is the recently renovated Upper Stone Apartment. This space is appointed with a mix of mid-century modern furnishings and Victorian antiques, bringing together the aesthetic influences of our lodges and the Gilmor Sloane House.
One of only three spaces on campus in which guest groups have the choice to cook their own meals, “Upper Stone” as we familiarly call it, has the basic amenities and living spaces to make your stay a comfortable one—living room, and office/planning/game spaces.
Two of the bedrooms feature an enchanting view of the labyrinth, and are appointed with a queen and twin sized bed, antique dresser, full closet, and reading chair. The second bedroom also has a stunning view of the meditation space, which is the case for the third bedroom. This final bedroom is the coziest size of the three and includes one queen-sized bed and reading chair.
This apartment is typically used by guest group planners, leaders or keynote speakers. It also is quite convenient to expand the capacity of rooming when a group stays in the Gilmor Sloane House. This latter use is actually how the Gilmor Sloane family eventually used the space themselves when they had an overflow of guests in their home.
