Meditation Space

Capacity ranges depending on activity: 1-35

A gift from the John M. Lloyd Foundation, the Meditation Space is the spiritual heart of our campus. Inspired by John Lloyd’s inclusive spiritual journey, the space blends Eastern and Western traditions through its symbolic architecture and natural elements—earth, wind, water, and fire. Open to small groups (15 or fewer) for personal sacred practice, it offers a serene setting for meditation, prayer, or quiet reflection.

Labyrinth

A Path to Peace and Reflection

The Chartres Labyrinth at Stony Point Center offers a meditative walking path rooted in ancient tradition. Its spiral design encourages mindfulness, introspection, and emotional healing. Located between the Meditation Space and Magnolia Lodge, the labyrinth is always open to guests. Redesigned in 2018 to support deeper spiritual journeys and small group use, it blends old and new with symbolic elements that ground visitors in nature and direction.

The Art Space

Great Room Max Capacity: 50

Stony Point Center’s Art Space is a vibrant 4,000 sq. ft. facility dedicated to creative expression as a form of faith and social engagement. Located behind the Gilmor Sloane House, its airy second floor—The Great Room—is perfect for art, movement, music, and group gatherings. It includes a cozy loft, a break-out space, kitchenette, and ADA bathroom. In late 2025, we plan to reopen studios for fiber arts, pottery, and woodwork on the first floor, expanding the space’s creative potential.
