In Partnership with The Chiron Project
A 3 Session Online Workshop: October 14th, October 21st, October 28th

Bias doesn’t only show up in headlines or public debates—it often appears in everyday conversations with friends, family members, coworkers, and neighbors. You might notice something that feels uncomfortable or harmful but feel unsure what to say, or worry that speaking up could make things worse.
This three-part workshop series will help you build the awareness, confidence, and practical skills needed to respond to bias in everyday situations. Together, we’ll explore how to assess difficult moments, practice strategies for interrupting harmful comments, and work through real-life scenarios so you can speak up with greater clarity and courage.

3 Online Sessions on Wednesday Evenings at 6PM
Workshop 1: Reducing the Risk of Bias Disruption
Wednesday October 14th – 6PM
Choosing When and How to Speak Up
You’ve probably experienced moments where someone said something biased or harmful and you weren’t sure whether—or how—to respond. Speaking up can feel risky, especially when relationships, emotions, or power dynamics are involved. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to recognize bias in everyday conversations and assess situations more strategically so you can decide when and how to speak up in ways that are more likely to be heard.
Workshop 2: What to Say When Bias Shows Up
Wednesday October 21st – 6PM
Turning Harmful Comments into Learning Opportunities
Even when you recognize bias in the moment, figuring out what to say can be difficult. In this workshop, you’ll explore practical ways to interrupt harmful comments that open the door to reflection instead of shutting down conversation. Through guided discussion and practice scenarios, you’ll build confidence responding to bias in ways that support learning and accountability.
Workshop 3: Real Conversations, Real Practice
Wednesday October 28th – 6PM
A Community Coaching Session for Navigating Bias
Responding to bias is rarely straightforward. In this interactive session, you’ll bring real situations you’ve experienced—or expect you might face—and explore them together as a community. Through a live coaching format, we’ll think through possible responses and approaches so you can leave with greater clarity and confidence about how to handle difficult moments when they arise.
Zoom links will be sent a few days before session one
